I will dominate 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
